We offer these wines in reusable, refillable 1 liter bottles, saving the expense of bottling and helping the planet. The wines change from time to time.

Barbera 2015
Lodi, Clements Hills, Lewis Vineyard, ABV 13.4%, Cases: 65

This Barbera is medium garnet in color with black currant and black cherry aromas along with hints of violets, lavender, cloves and a bit of anise. Black fruit and a bit of raspberry and blueberry flavors on the palate with light tannins, bright acidity and a medium mouthfeel balance this wine with a lingering finish. Try with guinea fowl and porcini mushroom stew, braised root vegetables, sausages and potatoes, fresh pasta with truffles or herbaceous cheeses such as blue cheeses or Tome.

Medium/light garnet color, this wine exhibits aromas of dark berries, with hints of blueberries and dried herbs along with some tobacco and a hint of smoke. On the palate it is medium/full bodied with flavors of black raspberries, dark cherries, cassis and hints of allspice. Moderate firm tannins and good acidity balance this wine. Try with cheeses such as aged gouda, goat cheese or gorgonzola or with herb roasted chicken, Asian inspired spicy BBQ ribs or Moroccan spiced lamb dishes.

Try with a margherita pizza, pasta dishes with a rich tomato, Bolognese or cream sauce or a perfectly grilled steak.

Teroldego 2015

This ancient grape that originates from the Trentino area of Northern Italy is inky dark purple in color with aromas of dark black berry fruits and plums along with a mineral character accompanied by some violet aromas as well as baking spice, pepper and dried herbs. On the palate it is medium/full bodied and has flavors of juicy, brambly dark berries along with plums and a mineral overtone. Firm muscular tannins and bright acidity balance this complex wine. Try with a slow cooked brisket, goulash and dumplings or braised pork with polenta. Bitter vegetables such as radicchio pair well too.

Zinfandel 2015

This Zinfandel has a medium garnet color with peppery aromas of raspberry and dark berry fruits along with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate it is full bodied and has flavors of brambly dark berries and raspberries. Slight soft tannins and moderate acidity balance this wine. Try with bold dishes such as bbq, grilled meats, Mexican cuisine or hearty stews and chiles. Aged cheeses pair nicely as well.

Zinfandel 2013
Solano County Green Valley, ABV 15.2%, Cases: 57

The intensity of the old vine flavors shine through in this complex zesty Zinfandel. Eucalyptus and raspberry along with cloves and cinnamon and hints of dried herbs come through on the nose. On the palate mint, a bit of dark chocolate, fresh raspberries, dark cherries and blackberries combine with the herbs and spices. A lingering medium bodied mouth feel, moderate tannins and good acid balances this wine. Excellent with BBQ meats or poultry as well as hearty stews or chili. Dry aged cheeses pair nicely as well.
